What if I get my puppy home and I can't care for it anymore?

We understand that at times owning a puppy can be a handful. Getting a puppy is a huge responsibility and we ask that you research proper care and needs of puppies before you purchase one. We also understand that life happens and unexpected events occur. We gladly accept puppies back with a partial refund of the purchase price, as we have to get the puppy re-examined by our vet once the puppy returns.

What food is my puppy eating?

We use Purina products with all our puppies. Your puppy will be eating either Purina Puppy Chow Complete, Purina One Healthy Puppy, or Purina Pro Plan Puppy. It depends on how well the puppies like which food to determine which food they actually get. We will send you with a starter bag so if you want to transition to another food you can once the puppy is home with you.

What to do if my puppy is not eating?

When puppies leave to go to their new home, they can sometimes become anxious and upset due to a new environment. Puppies may not eat much food during their first day with you. You provide puppies with constant food until they are comfortable eating. Some puppies may need small amounts of cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, or cooked egg added to their food. We will provide you with some puppy food and you can gradually switch to your food over several days to another brand of puppy food.

Do we ship our puppies?

We do not ship our puppies, at times we are able to meet people part of the way for pick up (depending on time, weather, our availability and life events), but we ARE NOT obligated to do so. It is the buyers responsibility to have safe transport in place to bring their puppy back home.

How do we ensure that your puppy is happy and healthy at pick-up?

We workclosely with our vet to make sure all of our adult dogs are happy and healthy with annual vet exams and vaccinations. Your puppy sees the vet twice once at 3-4 days old for tail docking and dew claw removal (if needed) and and again at 6 weeks for a proper exam and 1st vaccinations. We let you know if anything unexpected comes up at the 6 week exam. We never let a puppy leave if we have concerns.

How do we know your Corgis and Cavaliers are pure bred?

We use select breeders that we trust from across the country to supply us with our adult dogs. We use registrations such as AKC and CKC to insure you are getting a purebred. We pay attention to bloodlines and genetic markings so you don’t have to.

Do cavapoos have registration papers?

Cavapoos are a hybrid breed aka “ designer breed” between our miniature poodle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Each adult dog has purebred registrations but since your puppy is a cross between the two there is no way to provide a purebred registration form.

How do we know if adding a puppy is right for us?

Although adding a puppy to your life may seem like the right idea for some it is not an ideal time. Puppies need daily time and care given to them. They require training and continued vet appointments as puppies to ensure adequate growth. Puppy supplies can be expensive, and not all apartments or landlords allow for pets. Please make sure you have the time needed to properly care for a puppy before getting one. We only offer partial refunds for returned puppies and we really want every puppy to find their forever home the first time.

Can we come visit our puppy before we pick them out?

We do allow visitation/ puppy viewing only once when picking out your puppy. We understand that not everyone is able to come view a puppy in person for picking out a puppy, so we also offer pictures and virtual meetings to allow you to pick out a puppy.

What is the deposit? Is it included in the total purchase price of my puppy?

A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to get on the waiting list and a $200 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to hold your puppy once one has been selected at 2-3 weeks of age. This deposit can be either cash, a cashiers check or sent electronically.This deposit is included in the total purchase price of your puppy and is not a separate charge. You must communicate with us BEFORE sending a deposit. We don’t accept deposits from people hoping to get on the waitlist who have not talked to us first. We will send you a receipt once we receive the deposit.

Can I get more than one puppy?

Yes, however we need to know this when you first inquire for a puppy. If you decide you want a second puppy after being placed in the waiting list you may have to be reentered onto a second spot on the waiting list for the second puppy.

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes we use a waiting list to sort through everyone wanting a puppy. The waiting list is sorted by the breed you want (Corgi, Cavalier or Cavapoo). Then by gender male/female and again by color/ markings.This allow us to provide the appropriate puppy for each person. We do require a $50 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit for the waiting list. Our waiting list often fills up fast and has very limited slots to prevent over crowding.

When do we pick up our puppy?

Most puppies can be picked up once it turns 8 weeks old. We may at times hold a puppy longer if we feel it is needed. If your puppy is ready at 8 weeks of age the puppy must be picked up with 7 days of its 8 week birthday or a $20/day care fee will be charged. The pick up process is done by APPOINTMENT ONLY!

How often does my puppy go to the vet before I pick up my puppy?

Your puppy sees the vet twice once at 3-4 days old for tail and dew claw removal and and again at 6 weeks for a proper exam and 1st vaccinations. Your puppy still has to go to the vet once once get them at 8 weeks old for completion of their vaccinations and to be placed on a proper heart worm, intestinal worm, flea tick preventions and treatment.

Do we offer breeding rights?

We offer our puppies as family pets only.

Has my puppy received its vaccinations and worming? Will it need more?

Puppies receive dewormings at 2,4,6 weeks of age while with us. They may need additional dewormings after you get them. This should be discussed with your vet. Puppies also get at least 4 vaccines the typical schedule is at 6,9,12 and 15-16 weeks of age, most vets offer a “ puppy plan” to schedule your appointments and all appropriate vaccines it is required to get your puppy in with a licensed vet for continue care of your puppy.

Does everyone get a puppy?

No not everyone gets a puppy, we often get 2 -3 dozen inquires a week and there is no way to supply that many puppies to the everyone and do it correctly. We do our best to provide happy healthy puppies and we hold a very limited waiting list.
